Cinematographing University
"The new experience in the UK begins at Coventry University. The Media Production course is training students on how to professionally express feelings through images and creativity. Deconstructing cinema and its history can reveal many secrets and be the spark of creating new techniques. As cinematography researcher, I find all this indispensable to build the perfect frame at every shot. Because this is the only way of shooting a masterpiece. Every shot is an only child that must be treated with the most love we can give"

On the set of "Pasolini, la verità nascosta"
November 2011 - ROME
"During the last few months I was involved into he project called -Pasolini, la verità nascosta- literally translated -Pasolini, the hidden truth-. It is a feature film set in the 70s in a corrupted Rome where criminals and secret services where ruling Italy. Pasolini was in the middle of the fire. He was an active writer, journalist, film director. Strongly involved in the national politics Pasolini was murdered during November 1975 in Ostia (Rome). Pino Pelosi, 17 year-old at the time, payed with 27 years in jail charged of Pasolini's murder in co-operation with unknown people. But there is another version of the tale. The one that Pelosi keeps claiming. A tale in which he's not the murderer but framed to guilty.
Horizon Film is pruducing this feature movie led by Federico Bruno, writer and director. On the set I operate in the Photography compartment. Iwas in charge of light setting during the shooting. We were working mainly with Litepanels led systems, Kino neon lights and 4300°k tungsten spotlights. The light motion was certainly my favourite working moment. Directing four or five lights in the blocking was a challenging job. I did my best and as a result I haven't been fired like all my predecessors. Mr Bruno indeed loves to be surrounded by competent and disciplined cinema workers.Let's hope this collaboration will last in time."
